Techtium’s backupower™ IC solutions enable dependable and solid products with small form factors.
Intelligent: Real time variable charge current provides much more than simple DC/DC step up conversion. The load current automatically adjusts itself based on the real time status of both the main and back-up batteries.
Quality: No effort was spared to develop the absolute highest performing chipset available to maximize the energy utilized
from a single A-class standard battery. This enables dependable products that really work, compared with low end products that might deliver only a few minutes of charge time.
Efficient: Ultra-low standby power consumption means the user can keep a battery inside the device for months – and when needed most, backupower™ is available.
Anytime Use Case: backupower™ IC solutions include a specialized start-up function that allows the user to start charging even if the main battery is totally depleted. Other products can’t be used if the main battery is dead – only backupower™ products provide instant talk from a dead battery!
DC-DC Controller Products
TEC103 is designed for use in embedded products such as mobile phones, digital cameras, digital video players or digital video recorders. With this IC, backupower™ can be provided from a single AAA battery.
TEC110A is designed for use in portable battery chargers products that supply energy from standard AA sized batteries to any mobile device, as well as in applications for cell phones powered by standard AA batteries saving the need for expensive Li-Ion battery.
TEC117A is designed for use in portable battery chargers products that supply energy from standard AA sized batteries to any mobile device. This IC is optimized for cost and has less functionality than our high-end TEC110A IC.
